"I'm proud of my neighborhood because it's peace and quiet."
Tony and Damien are two 9-year-olds living in Sherard, in houses built by Habitat. They both have felt the positive impact of having a home - being able to do homework and play video games without the disturbance of their siblings, having the peace and quiet of their neighborhood, and having a shelter in general. They meet Habitat volunteers through games of basketball and soccer that the volunteers play in their free time. The two live just like any kid should live - going to school, playing with friends, sleeping in on the weekends, and doing the occasional chore around the house.
