Born in Helena, Arkansas, in 1951, Verna Jones moved to Clarksdale in 1983, along with her husband. She works at the Care Station, a soup kitchen to help those in need, where she is considered to be the face of the organization. Along with her friends and volunteers, Verna provide love, prayers, and delicious food to everyone in the community.
